As we wrap up this year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of starting Go with the Flo, our little dream turned blossoming reality. When we began, we knew there’d be challenges, but we also knew there’d be so much joy in creating a space where pottery could bring people together, spark creativity, and maybe even inspire a little healing.
This fall, we launched our very first pilot handbuilding workshops—and what a success they were! Seeing our participants get their hands messy with clay, laugh together, and walk away with creations they were proud of was the perfect reminder of why we started this journey.

And now, we’re thrilled to share what’s next! In 2024, we’ll be expanding in big, exciting ways. We’re preparing to partner with school districts in San Diego and Los Angeles counties for large, multi-day workshops designed to bring art and healing into classrooms. At the same time, we’re growing our local adult handbuilding workshops, offering more one-time sessions at recreational centers to make pottery accessible to even more of our community.
As we step into the new year, we’re embracing the spirit of “going with the flo”—staying open to growth, creativity, and the beautiful surprises along the way. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We can’t wait to see what we’ll create together next!

Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming workshops and events—we’d love to see you there.
With gratitude and excitement,
Alyx in FLO
The Purpose of This Blog: This blog is a way for us to share the journey of FLO Studio, from our early days to our growth and new exciting opportunities. It’s a space where we can reflect on what we’ve learned, celebrate our successes, and keep you updated on the workshops, events, and projects we’re working on. Most importantly, it’s a way to connect with you—whether you’re a long-time supporter, a pottery enthusiast, or someone curious about the healing power of clay. I hope to inspire you, keep you informed, and share our excitement as we move forward.
